haha i remember those -leah-. and "flesh" coloured tights, foundation etc.
when i was studying photography i remember my teacher made a point of saying "and remember using the grey card for skin exposure only works for average toned white people" so i can totally understand the question.
seems ppl are very sensitive about this, with good reason i'm sure but probably preaching to the converted. i wonder what colour i am. not quite brown. not yellow. off-white? ooh but maybe that's defining my identity in terms of whiteness, which would be all wrong, hmm beige? beige sounds like flatpack swedish furniture. olive? seems a bit green and bitter. damn i guess that's why there is an "other" box on forms.

vespa haha. yeah my skin color varies. my feet are kinda reddish tan... my ass is like a piece of printer paper. my face and arms are kinda tan. i should be a little darker considering i have some italian and american indian in me. but hey, a grey card won't work right with people other than light skinned people? will the normal exposure scale work out OK? like i'm thinking i might need to underexpose a darker black person's skin 1-1 1/2 stops. does that sound about right? of course that's only if i take my reading off the skin. now i'm a little confused if a grey card won't work right. i don't have a grey car, but i was planning on metering on a medium grey object near me and using that setting. will that not work out right? i need to leave soon so respond asap!! thanks :)
