Is there a way I can adjust the levels of a PS file so I get CMYK black (100% 100% 100% 100% ) in it's darkest spots?
I have a photo of a person on a black background. I have adjusted the levels in PS so the black is as dark as I can get it. I then bring it into InDesign and the black isn't as dark as the CMYK black(100% 100% 100% 100% ) produced in InDesign. I need to have the 2 be visibly seemless.

First, make sure your PS file is in CMYK image mode (I know that's simple, but I forget to do that so often).
Then go here:

BUT... under Black Point Settings, instead of setting black to B=5, set the CMYK values to 100, 100, 100 and 100.
And remember, if you plan on having this printed by an offset printer, make sure the stock you're printing on can take that much ink.

In Photoshop sample your black - I would use curves and make sure your black is 100%.

pretty sure that's gonna cause problems on press
