made the links a wee bit darker..
better now?
- mevsthem0
I wouldn't put them under a orange header, or make the links a different color then orange. Or you could place the links top right or left corner. It hard to look at them aswell cause of the orange header, your eyes just get to much of it. dunno just my opinion hope it helps.

eh, i have a feeling you are talking about my old site, mevsthem?
either that or you need to clear your cache.
:)
- mevsthem0
your right, it was the cache. well this one the new one looks alot better then your old one, glad you took out the orange. more appealing on the eyes then the older one was.
- Jnr_Madison0
Much better but it took me a while to find the links...

err..am i the only one that the picture is a bit HUGE? and the type on the photo loooks a bit thrown together?
i dunno.... i might be crazy over here.. but that shit looks very un-toight to me compared to the rest of the site.
the rest looks good though.
- DutchBoy0
nick, i have actually put quite a bit of thought into the text on the photographs.. but it was impossible to keep the typography on all the pages consistent as the photographs wouldn't allow it.
i first put this pic on the front page as a happy holidays thingie for the client.. it just needed the space.
and then i felt i really liked it so i incorporated this idea of a big image on every page.
it gives some space to the otherwise rather compressed layout, imo.
thx for the comments!
:)
(oh and if people have suggestions (on type/image/layout), they're always welcome!)

"and the type on the photo loooks a bit thrown together?" -nick
could you elaborate more on it, pls? because i am starting to feel insecure about it now.. :/

clean your cache...I hate centred pages, prefer them on the left... i dunno what the big image area will be for...
- DutchBoy0
" i dunno what the big image area will be for..."
what do you mean?
- Jnr_Madison0
My cache is clean. Black on grey, right? I have my monitor turned down quite bit though, maybe it's that.

ah, i didnt see that you had photos in the other sections...
but i still think they're really big... really tall with such a thin layout... but that might just be me.
as for the type on the images... well... the only thing i can think of is that it doesnt look 'dynamic' the way type should when set... i just dont feel as though its lining up with anything... [i know it is kind of, but not really]... i also feel as though the type works a bit better on the other photos in the other sections, and less so on the main image...
anyways, i know im not doing a very good job here at explaining myself.. but when i look at the type on the photos i dont think it looks 'tight' - this probably also has to do with the height of the images... where i can only just see the full image if i maximize my browser [15" pb here]
just got home, about to smoke a j, will get back with better feedback shortly.

Hey dutchie, you changed the type arrangemnt on the photo!
- mevsthem0
oh i thought u were having same problem like me...or u were mocking me or something hehe. dunno i found the links in the new one the old one i couldn't.....
what i mean by the big image is what is that area for exactly? is the big image gonna change what exactly is the purpose of the big image is what im asking.
What i would really suggest is moving the layout to the left and for the thumbnail pics i would create them using a solid color preferably and type something inside like a title info using a pixel font.
- DutchBoy0
nick, i've been moving and tweaking the type for the last 15 minutes and this is how it looks now.
(altho i renamed the first two it might be wise to clear your cache before viewing)
- DutchBoy0
thx for the suggestion, mevsthem.
but no.
(no offence but making those thumbs and the tableless (!!) css layout was a pain in the ass to do, soo.. not gonna change anything on that..):)
the big image is jsut a thing i like.. i am a sucker for large images anyway.
- DutchBoy0
aight.. bedtime.
talk to ya monkeys later.
- ********0
dutchie, this really looks better...
and i'd say swap the img on 'visie' for the main one, or get a new front photo, i dont think i like the light orange gradient very much... esp as a first impression.
and i think the layout might look better justified left.
gnite buddie
