since i work a 9-5, so the pieces i make usually drag on for a little while, and while they're dragging on, and im not really working on them every day, i like to have them on my wall at work sitting there in my peripheral vision... that way they're always kind of in my mind... so that way i leave myself the opportunity to have a brilliant idea for the piece basically all the time.

if you're designing for screen based stuff, is there any point? Your audience will always see it from 2 feet away, never from a distance on a monitor. Removing your design work from that environment will create an unrealistic impression of how it will look.
Just a thought I had.My print work I print out and lay on the desk and stand over it. Then if i've got time, leave it lying around. Try not to care to much about it as the client will change something on it anyway.

(Dec 10 04, 01:22)Same here, Id rather not surround myself with work. It seems very studenty and old skool, and to me, pointless to be pinning stuff up. Especially when there's going to be numerous of alts and changes...

i just put it right in the trash... skip the whole pinning up thing :P

My work is print based so I have to print out every day, We have a huge metal wall that we put up work on with magnets (no holes in work or waste of tape). Then we recylce all printouts.
If you design for print there is no option but to print out and stand back to look at what you've done. Never trust monitors.

i try to tape up my roughs but my monitor is too heavy....
