I don't know why I am always surprised when I see that shit on fox/cnn.
It really makes me think about moving farther away from the US.
Whenever I see how ignorant the people that are in control of the States are (and a lot of the rest of the US) it really gets me down because it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better.
I know I'm preaching to the choir here because I know that a lot of the americans that are reading this are progressive/rational /left-of-centre but I just had to vent after seeing that.
Funny Story:
I was out shopping with my girlfriend and there were these two horrible women walking up and down the street, puting down the stores and the people working in them, and just being loud, beligerent bitches. Anyway, we were looking at them, and other people were to, just totally wondering what was going on? Where were these women from? How they hell could they be acting like that? And then they mentioned something about shopping at home at Nordstrom's and you could see this sense of relief on all the people's faces and everyone looked at each other and said "Ohhhh... They're American."...and everything was right in Canada again.
Peace.

Good old Ann Coulter...
I'd like to kick her in the cunt and where her as a snow shoe.
Everyone that I've ever met in Canada have been really great people. I work with a large number of clients from Canada, and have to say they are far less materialistic and more down to earth than a lot of people here in the states.

I like the few Canadians I've met also. Nice people eh.
Much better than Americans.

Jesus it is a shame when neighbours hate each other. The whole English scottish thing is pretty much over now. Except for that southern softie hUtch ;)

i dunno, chossy. that kind of stuff always looks over when there's plenty but comes back the first minute when there's troubles.
- chossy0

I am going to start a new land and I will call it 'chossopia' everyone can come but if you start to be non excellent you must go for a journey then come back excellent again :)

Medieval? i would say way before that. We haven't changed a bit since the Cave. Only when we stop screwing and take orgasmic pills.

You know simply by even discussing this banality ur falling into their trap.... Their creating discourse where there is none.... Talk about media disinformation. It's the nature of the spectacle. These issues of Canada this and America that, do not exist. Their simulations of simulations just to keep u guys talking and watching. Like car crash television. They put people on air that are gonna be compulsive, even if you hate them. That's the point. It's vacuous and meaningless.
I'm sure there's better things to be bitching about than whether to hate arrogant Americans or not (war? economics? ecological catastrophes?). The issue does not all of a sudden exist just because some crazy TV friendly charicatures make some emotive remarks. It's one big con trick, fucking theatre. It's what broadcast journalism has decended into in the US.
In Ancient times, back in the Ice Age, most of humanity believed in this shamanistic religion called Tengri. There were 100s and 1000s of gods all vying to be worshipped. The more a god was worshipped the more he or she grew in strength and the more power he or she exerted over the earth. And so the more he or she would need to be worshipped... a feedback loop. But if the people turned their back on those idols, their power would wane, and as their power waned, the less people paid attention to them. A visious spiral. Finally these forgotten gods would be cast down from heaven and end up in a place called Tien-Shan - hell of the gods. Deep beneath the earth.
Break the cycle

I uttelry agree with you Kuz. I was just pointing out that prejudice is a tool. Social identities are built on a ME/YOU US/THEM; people just use it as to achieve a near objective: imediate social aggregation on a given situation.. like a pack. you have to be a little naive to believe that it can be broken. it would imply an increasing number of similarities between people. Only a world federation could brake it, and most people don't find that a good scenario (which proves my point).
I make the effort even so :)

Wait a minute... there's a difference between Canadians and Americans? Damn whiteboys all look the same to me. Even talk the same ;)
