you are all wrong... and I hope you are smart enough to do more research about it before you believe one website that discounts most of the major preachers, teachers, evangelists, of this generation....

ah yeah! benny hinn. always on here in minneapolis on the most random channels. i once saw him heal a kid with asthma. the kid fell over (you know, when he pushes them over as they are healed) got up and then ran around the entire arena to come back on stage with no loss of breath cheering. AMAZING!!!!
do people actually believe this?!
- liquid0
I have a hard time believing it....and I dont know if EVERYONE that goes up on stage gets healed....but I do believe that some people actually do get healed....
a guy in my church who couldnt hear in one ear was healed.. and I know this for a fact... because we used to dog him for not hearing....and then I whispered so softly into his ear and he actually heard it....

...and here's a more comprehensive treatment on the word of faith movement:

If you are interested in some good, solid, doctrinally sound Bible teachers. I would recommend:
John Piper
Max Lucado
Hank Hanegraaff
J.I. Packer
R.C. Sproul
Norman Geisler

There's no question that God still heals people today. I've heard and seen numerous testimonies in and around the church(es) I've been a part of. He may even choose to use false teachers like Hinn to accomplish his will in healing. The real issue is do they teach sound Biblical truth, or are they espousing heresy. We are admonished in scripture to "test" the teaching we recieve. And to "handle accurately the word of truth".
I would just encourage you to find out about the core beliefs of those who's teaching you recieve.

it's called meditation and god has nothing to do with it if you don't want god to have anything to do with it. Help yourself.

are you being serious liquid?
don't get me wrong, but these 'healers' are a lot like the 'psychic friends network' in my eyes.
this is in no way discrediting what you witnessed. what you saw is what you saw ((and i don't not believe you saw it) sorry for the 2 x negative)). i just have not seen any truth from these all too common programs. i'm just a skeptic (and rightly so in my opinion). tv is just a waste in basically all instances

lvl_13... agreed. I think these characters continue to paint a caricature of Christianity. Some people watch them, with their cotton candy hair, sitting in their gold plated thrones and waving hankies in the air, and actually believe that they are legitimate representatives of the Christian faith. I'm not saying that all these people are corrupt... I think more of them are misled rather than deliberate deceivers.

i hope you aren't talking to me.
i say that with a ' yo dude, i'm just curious as to the thoughts and beliefs that are on other peoples' minds' '
i'm the black sheep of my mothers side of the family (all 'christians'). i guess they just intrigue me. and to close the mind to anything is just against the thought of open-minded. you know?

the sad thing is that benny hinn is a multi-billionaire. he has his tour dates at airfields in some countries just to fit everyone in. the classic is that no matter what experience someone has had to test their faith, benny's been there done that. planecrash, all dead except him - been there, terror experience - been there, martian fucking invasion - been there. gold. people actually believe it all too AND hand over the cash in wads.
bill hicks was right. mankind = virus in shoes...
