whats the end name on a freehand file? i got a file called .dat???
i think i have to rename that one – right?

i think it's .fh or .fh5, .fh7 etc.

as frehand mx on macs doesn't put a suffix on its files and they are then sent through email onto PCs it sometimes doen't know what to do with them and creates a 'windat' file, i dont know what these actually are, nor do i really care, just know they are NOT freehand files or any subsiduary of and the original file needs to be either saved as an .eps as stated above or stuffed or winzipped before transferring across platforms....

and yeah, fh5, fh8, fh10 is the correct naming system, fh11 = fhmx...
personally .fh8 i always finds works the best across illustrator and across to PCs...

The problem was as _me_ said made on mac, mailed to pc, mailed to my mac = .dat file...
I tryed this kind of thing with Illy files before... Fuckin' great PC world and Freehand!
