i'm considering moving to toronto from philly next year but i'm not exactly sure what the legalities of such a move would be. i will most likely have a job (i got a job at whole foods for their nice tranfer system), besides having a job what else is required of you? i know you cannot get dual citizenship this way, but i'm not sure if i'm ready to give up my US citizenship yet.
i hear great things about toronto. (i.e. "it's like a clean new york"). anyone from there?
any advice is welcome. thanks.

I live in Ottawa, but I was born in Toronto. Toronto is pretty cool because of it's night life and social stuff I guess. You can make friends there really easily. Other than that, I don't remember much since I live in the suburbs and I have gotten used to that. haha.
But yeah, it's cool.

About the citezenship thing. I am pertty sure you would not end up giving up your US citizenship. you would have both. Though you would have to live in Canada for about 7 years to apply. Well atleast that was the case when I moved here.
Toronto clean?? There are some nice areas, and then there are some bad areas. All depends. Overall it has a pretty good image though.
Canada is generally nice overall, I hear very good things about montreal...

Keep ur U.S citizenship and live as a canadian landed imiigrant. U still get all the government benefits (i.e. OHIP, E.I and totally naked strippers).
Toronto has the best weed in North America..next to vancouver of course.

but back to the point, whoever says Toronto has the best weed in NA next to BC is smoking straight crack rocks. i suppose it makes sense from a New Yorker, you poor poor east coast americans... stuck with the shittiest herb in the content.
