ctrlRmB "hmmmm"?

no.... lame message w/intent to scare... but provide NO solution to a 'what if' scenario. Sure, you get people thinking - and let the conspiracies begin.
Terror Alert Level Raised... oh shit, get the duct tape.

It does not scare me in the least. The consolidation of control of information is already happening. I took it as a tool for awareness. Googling is already in the dictionary as an accepted way to find information. How many of us already read 4 or 5 different news sources to form an opinion on world events. It is inevitable that software will pick up on our habits and target us with customized editorials based on our preferences.

googling is already in the dic?? that's just nonsense! ictionaries are supposed to include general concepts or phrasing.
or should one think that when you travel by air you go boeinging?
- jevad0
whoah!!
how close to the truth I wonder.
very, very cool.
- winter0
well, i must say i stand hamleted by this alqaedance upon the catterpillaring of knowledge by webster reference
i wonder if they have anything to do with reader's digest... they should be dirtyharried

doesn't scare me.
it's already happening.

Printed media will still be here. People will never give the textural feeling up.
Take a look at the shadow when the work EPIC comes up on the screen.
If you turn it around it reads.
C PI 9
What does this calculate?
- winter0
It won't happen.
Many people are not so easy as to think that googling or databases can ever be more than a tool for cliché findings.
to give you an example if you search for contemporary philosophy or sociology howcome Alvin Toffler comes up!!?? he's to knowledge as pan pipes rmxs are to music, or as Bruce Mau is to good social change ;)
well, not as i'm alive it won't. i'll just start berreting every computer in sight if it gets to that.
- winter0
i mean beretting :P

gave me shivers.....what an amazing & well done piece.

btw - can anybody point me to a link that would work to download that SWF? i'd love to show it to some of my fam, unfortunately they are on dialup... the SWF there is just a wrapper. thanks flash dudes,
sc
- abizzyman0
snowcat... check your temp files... it should be in there... if you've seen on screen in full - then it should be in your cache.
the file name is: ols-master.swf... if you can't find it, get it directly by clickin' on this: http://letitblog.com/epic/ols-ma…
btw - what a stupid message to broadcast (talking about the file)... if they're trying to promote what could be with the web(showing that companies are going to take over the world and get to know us better than ourselves... oooooo, scary!)... uh, why the hell are they doing it on the web? huh? shouldn't they be sending out printed mail peices instead?
just a thought.

argh waited 3 times for this bitch to load here at home on dial up, it stops 1/4 way in each time, after the guy with the movie trailer voice

That is one of the more positive matrix-style futures I've read, but still uncomfortable nonetheless.
Why can't it be like Star Trek, where humans are still necessary?
- hot_fs010
I didn't make it to the end.
