I've had a hefty few months of work with lates and weekends, plus some more late nights with GTA and I think it's starting to affect me physically – I've got a recurring twitch in my left eye. It's been happening for a few days now and it's driving me mental.
Anyone ever had this? If so how long did it last and did you do anything to get rid of it?

YES!!
Had it two weeks ago for an ENTIRE fucking WEEK! It was seriously driving me insane, but after a few days off the computer screen... it disappeared. Funny thing, it was my left eye too.
So definitely try a few days off the TV and the monitor. CJ will still be there, so will NT :P

My right eyelid twitched for about 3 months, really really fucking annoying. Went away by itself eventually.

It happens beacuse of too much caffeine, stress and lack of sleep.
- dc_again0
save - you might have it there with the caffeine. i used to drink coffee *all day*, and would get the twitch quite often. i started a new job in late july, and cut down to one cup a day (no free coffee machine) and i can't remember the last time i had the twitch.

Ah cheers, good to know it's not just me! I could stay off the GTA but then I'll just get withdrawl and get ol' twitchy thumb - you just can't win!

Also, when working on your computer try to look away every 15minutes and focus on something at least 4 or 5 metres away ....

"It happens beacuse of too much caffeine, stress and lack of sleep. "
That explains it then. Sort of like my ordinary day.

Lack of Potassium can also be another cause, so try to eat plenty of bananas ...

Could be onset of ALS (Lou Gherigs Disease)... but would be more than in your eye... (not to be an alarmist).
i got eye twitching too occassionally and some times its annoying as hell.
sometimes i have it in my arm and right now i have a twitch in my right shoulder.
get a lot more sleep if you can too...

after a bereavment, my eye twithced for 6 months. It started off really fast , but gradually slowed down and increased in duration.
It had stopped for about a week before i noticed it was gone. That was fucking horrible.

i have had "the twitch" - it went away after a day or two.
"the shakes," however, are harder to get rid of.

i get the twitch if i eat an orange or lemon sherbet sweets

I think it's the start of that mongolitis. There is a lot of going around.

I always fix the twitch with potassium from bananas...
besides they taste marvelous.
When i get the twitch I walk around all day askin people "is my eye twitching".... they always say no. Then I tell them "yes it is"... and then I get a crazy look and carry on.
ok, carry on.
