There I said it. I still cannot figure out why it won't recognize my CSS and I've had a multitude of code monkeys look and scratch their monkey heads too. WTF?! I'm about to run screaming out of my office, pulling my hair out and all.
Anyone have any ideas? http://www.wnpt.net/education

I hate firefox too. There I said it also... and we are not alone. Flash sucks on it. There are just too many of you Bill Gates haters on here.

I don't really hate any browser. What I hate is browsers that can't display standardized code correctly. So in essence, I'm not hating on IE because it's Microsoft's product, I hate it because I have to waste my time hacking my standardized code to work with it. Same goes for other browsers out there that wastes our time churning out hacked code rather than designing.

I just find it amusing that people love stuff simply because it is platform driven. If mac came out with a browser that was simply IE with a mac front-end withone anyone knowing, all the mac heads would jock it and dis anything else. The same goes for the Ipod. I have found several players that outperform and have more features than an Ipod at a much lower price and the only justification any mac head can throw at me is "but it looks cool".
I see an opportunity to make good money here. I'll buy a Mac G5 case and fill it with PC guts and sell it for $5k. I'll make my $3.5k profit and let you be my best sales person going around telling everyone how much faster your new computer runs than your last mac.

CSS problems and how firefox makes flash all choppy is why I stick to Safari

Firefox won't let me log out of NT for some reason.

yars, how does this thread have anything to do with what platform people are using? I use firefox because it's fast and has better features than IE. It's not a statement against Microsoft or anything. Sounds kinda like you might've gotten picked on a lot by some mac users when you were little...

i tried changing the doctype and it still doesn't work. horrible. horrible.
- gabriel20
what did you change the doctype to? I was able to get it working by changing to a non-xhtml doctype

i've been kind of dissillusioned in CSS layouts. Sure, it's good for formatting and laying SOME things out, but for the general structure of a site like the one you're trying to do, it seems to still be much simpler with tables. when you have 4 pages of CSS code just for layout, it's less code and cleaner to do it in tables, and yeah, yeah, they're ugly and undynamic, but hey, they work on most browsers and there's more structure in them imho.

Tons of firefox hacks to make things run better, especially flash:
I only use firefox now. and fix up my css to work properly in it. you should too. F IE and Safari is starting to get on my nerves.
