Some of you may have already peeped it as it has been sitting online somewhat incomplete for the past couple of weeks, but anyhow, it's all done now, so check it out and feel free to give yer comments. I don't think it's been tested rigorously so if you find any problems please let me know. As well, I'm looking for a new full-time gig or freelance if anyone has any leads in Amsterdam, UK or Toronto...
cheers!

umm
your server is quite busy at the moment.
- blaw0
very nice site and work.
the tag line at the top of each page is so light on my screen it's illegible and the whole thing is running pretty sluggish.
otherwise, i'm really into it.
- Plusone0
I like it a lot but the slow frame rate tests my patience.
- mr_snuggles0
Yeah, the light text acts as more of a graphical element rather than actual brand reinforcement, and if yer on a mac it is pretty sluggish, maybe 'cause of the big images? Anyhow, I didn't build the site so I won't have any answers regarding performance. But noticed myself that it's pretty slow...

a few days/weeks back your t-shirt design came up in a thread and i was at your site and i don't recall it being slow then. something change hosting-wise? maybe just a bad day for your server?
- DutchBoy0
that is toight, mr. Snuggles!
- mr_snuggles0
Good point blaw, the guy that built/hosting the site was launching the new issue of his online mag, damn, I didn't even think about that!

Great work, really like it. Only thing I can say with out repeating other comments is it could use a good screen font. Apart from that I really like the bold type and colours.
Would be cool if you could look at my new site, I just updated it yesterday.

Wow, nice shit chimp! I've bookmarked it and will look at the rest later today, I just looked at the print work and you've got some ace stuff in there. :)
Yeah, I had originally been using Standard for the body copy, but thought I'd stick with helv for everything to keep it all a little chunky.
- Chimp0
Cheers dude, I think the helv will be fine if its not too small

I think youre doing yourself a disservice by calling the new work "mediocre".. even in jest.
Otherwise I've told you before how I like your work dude. good stuff, great site.
- mr_snuggles0
Thanks ric, I think the mediocre thing is just a stab at some honesty, I don't think my work is shit, but it's kinda boring. Especially when you look around, even here, there's so many good designers with flashy graphics and stuff, my shit seems really boring in comparison.

(Nov 29 04, 07:31)I like your work dude.... I would just try to keep the positivity to a high. Speak it up, sell it.
imo.

I hear ya, but what I am trying to sell is the honesty aspect. I wish companies would take a more honest approach to things like advertising or even designers with their own personal promotion. If yer product isn't going to change the world, stop telling me it is.
The positioning I've taken started with the last version of my site and promos for it. I was taking pot-shots at my work and some common mis-guided notions about the internet. It's kinda difficult to explain but if you go into the "Portfolio" > "Misc" > "postcards" you'll see 2 of the 6 that I sent out. The cards were based on this consumer notion that you can get anything you want on the internet, but I took it to include emotions and even physical assistance. Trying to inforce this sense of honesty and as consumers, people really need to check/look into things further and not take advertising at face value. I'm really not being too clear here, but it's Monday morning and I feel like I have rocks in my head...

but are you lying if you tell your client you do your best for him? would you tell your client that if he wants better work he should call someone else?
chin up, mate!
- gabriel20
calling your own work mediocre is going to make potential clients look elsewhere for someone who's work isn't mediocre...
- jevad0
slick stuff
- Spix0
nice...i like it.

agree with the comments about the mediocre work bit. your stuff definitely isnt mediocre.
other than that looks solid.
