i was more of a outdoor/warehouse free-party man myself - a million miles from the glow sticks and gatecrasher kids.
thing is I started quite young. My first experience of anything remotely resembling a proper rave was a rainbow gathering in Ireland in 1993 - TOTAL HIPPYFEST, No soundsystem, no techno/gabba, no mdma etc just live hippy drumming and people learning pottery :) I was 15.

i think this was the last rave i have ever been to, rave in the true, free outdoors sense.
The photos dont do it justice, there was alot more people, and there was 3 different camps, all about 2km from each other, and at night they were conected by a green laser so you wouldnt get lost, with free bikes to get you to and from.
