the original: unwashed levis deadstock big E 501xx 1955 cut (slightly baggy - jeans after all were made so you could actually "work" in them) .still being reproduced today, woven on narrow looms. cost a little more than your bog standard shit levis but last longer and still cheaper than the oxymoron that is "designer jeans". you might have to hunt them a little bit but that can only be a good thing
AND the patina of wear will be yours and well earned

gap jeans are really durable...but they are baggy on me...
i mean i guess i could gain weight and stuff...
but who wants to do that...
i am one of the cursed skinny people...
and i love it...

jevad, i have a pair of paper denim that are the most comfortable jeans ever... and anybody who has that pair knows :)
