All that scrolling is a little obnoxious and you can't realy tell where one project ends and another begins.

Chill out, kid.
The work is broken into random pieces. I'm sure if you try, you can see it fine, but who the hell wants to work to look at a portfolio?
While you look at on work, there is another pulling the corner of your eye off to the side...
"Clutter and the Never Ending Scroll" - great
HTML has hyperlinks. A sheet of paper unfolds.

another thing;
i hate portfolio websites that use a series of numbers lining the bottom or top of the page as navigation. especially if they dont have prev/next buttons or the ability to click through.
- ricstultz0
yeah the number thing pisses me off to, I want an idea of what I'm going to look at.... before I spent the time loading it, etc.
The faster people can get the jist of what you're trying to show/tell them the better... unless it's "experimental"... and who really looks at that shit anyway :)

you mean like this one:

exactly, and a fucking brief of what exactly im looking at helps too.

Ok kid(?)
it was just an example of a scrolling site (but horizontaly)
Personally i like the way they do it
...
Cordially.

a little clumsy with the clicks but i went through this entire folio yesterday and enjoyed it immensely.

Yep, Dag's site is great, I'm not keen on some of the work, but agree that the site is very nice and usable.
- ricstultz0
yeah, that site is tight... I'm a big fan of frame navigation. easiest way to organize mass amounts of info.

It's nice to talk about design again :)

I can dig it. You've done it well, when people have used that in the past it's been very poorly done. But it can work, although I wouldn't put the images side by side, it looks a little awkward.
- mr_snuggles0
well, if the angle/perspective of the photos are taken exactly the same, then you could put them side by side, those samples were pretty f'n close, but just a touch off, so yeah, um, wicked!
- ********0
hmmm... thanks.
i wonder how i can get around this... the way my layout is structured, as ive mentionned above, is a 1-page scrollie with all work grided up on 900px wide.. and a single shot of the screen 900px wouldnt be a wise use of real estate, seeing as how i could display the actual layout in that space...
thanks, need to mull this one over a lil :)
- ********0
word - i think thats probably the key, having the angle exact..
gonna have to take these shots over again...
- mr_snuggles0
yeah, if it's bang-on then it'll look really sharp..
- ricstultz0
Yeah, totally, I could dig it with the right navigation. why not, anything that sets you apart.... I think that would be fine to click on and load the full site. I don't think extra screen shots are neccessary./
dig it.
