why do so many folio websites show their work so small? and why is it a chore to find your work? and why do i have to move my mouse around to navigate your work? all i wanna do is see your god damn work in large-scale and click click click or scroll a 1 pager.
am i the only one?

I agree with the size of work complaint, and yes one-pagers are nice sometimes (it werks for you guys:P) but I'm gettin' a little sick of stacked one pagers. Personally I still think Folkert has the best personal portfolio site design, in terms of one pagers.

I've got really small images on my site. But I reckon it's still enough to make people interested. I haven't created my site for other designers but for agencies and employers.

I think they were small because of bandwidth/downloading time issues - and the trend stuck...

MLVR, i'd love to see some of your work much larger... the size of your crops dont do your poster designs justice, for example.

im putting together my personal folio and its gonna be a 1 pager with all my shit 900px wide. each piece in a seperate swf and they'll load sequencially.
i think you just have to be smart about it, and know who is visiting your website.

Having small images can be sorta misleading as almost anything can look good when it's small/reduced.

i want to see more nude photos in peoples portfolios. i'd like to see more 'about me' telling me all about your dog and your grandma and what you ate for breakfast.
more shots of yourself 'thinking' or skating too. rock on.
oh, and blogs. need blogs. like this...
