THUNDERBIRD email client is tha Thing.
Yes it is. I switched to FF and TB a couple months ago or so. I won't ever switch back to Microsoft's $hit.

works good on mac. PR used to shit out on flash and 1.0 seems to handle it better.

similarly xp pro sp1 and ff1.0 works fabulous on my laptoppie.

Just upgraded and it's great. No problems.

mine worked fine without any changes...

The Web Developer extension works for me.
HA!Actually you just have to edit a config file, but I don't remember which one. Extensions.rdf, or something like that. Change the max.version (or whatever) setting from "0.10" to "1.0+". Easy a pie, and just as tasty.

It would be good if I could get my safari bookmarks into Firefox! I tried this: http://homepage.mac.com/simx/ but it seems to only work with 0.9 cause it work with 1.0. Anyone else found something that works?
Thanks

Web Developer works for me too (PC). You do get a warning saying it won't work, but it's fine in practice.

what about the e-mail client? anyone tried it?

"...work with 0.9 cause it DIDN'T work with 1.0."

Just follow these instructions and everything will be alright. I did so on the last release and still no adverse effects that I've noticed.

I've been using thunderbird for a couple months now, like it very much.

Safari Bookmark Exporter works well, just select firefox as the export option and overwrite firfox's bookmarks. it defaults to that location anyway.

you have to turn on the safari debug menu to export safari books
check google for that - it's really easy

I've used 1.0 for a little over an hour now on 10.35 and here's my report:
Pros
- It's faster than Safari and Explorer combined
- The password storage thingy is clever and actually remembers what you saved thereCons
- I can't help it but it's godawful in terms of design. The status bar looks like something from Windows 98 and the address bar becomes diahrrea-colored when a site loads.
- The text is all aliased. Whatever happened to the smooth OSX adjusting I loved so much in Safari? Yiech!
- When you visit HTTPS-sites, or fill in any forms for that matter, it prompts you that you are entering a secure / insecure connection or whatever, and it has this checkbox "alert me whenever I'm entering.. etc". BUT, shouldn't it say DO NOT alert me? It keeps popping up every time.
