THUNDERBIRD email client is tha Thing.
Yes it is. I switched to FF and TB a couple months ago or so. I won't ever switch back to Microsoft's $hit.

is there a way to set the scroll speed in firefox? it's too damn fast. seems to be more accelerated than the rest of osx.

Safari Bookmark Exporter works well, just select firefox as the export option and overwrite firfox's bookmarks. it defaults to that location anyway.

mine worked fine without any changes...

http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?…
Just follow these instructions and everything will be alright. I did so on the last release and still no adverse effects that I've noticed.

my developer extension doesn't work with 1.0 so I stay with the 1.0PR

Web Developer works for me too (PC). You do get a warning saying it won't work, but it's fine in practice.

The Web Developer extension works for me.
HA!Actually you just have to edit a config file, but I don't remember which one. Extensions.rdf, or something like that. Change the max.version (or whatever) setting from "0.10" to "1.0+". Easy a pie, and just as tasty.

Just upgraded and it's great. No problems.

holy shiiiit!
first time visiting NT on FF...
you know, Safari is really fast...
but Firefox beats all!! 0mg!!
if Firefox was a human his name would be Michael Schumacher! :P

Browser is brilliant, as expected. Although I need to use the web developer extension and it's not compatible.... they need to make with the update

FIREFOX IS THE SHIT.

Thunderbird 0.9 and fox 1.0 seem to be great in XP for me.
- PostModernStuff0
it's faster indeed!
pity some of the previous extensions do not work anymore... also there's not so much contrast between the webpage and the toolbars as in IE. i'm guessing that if you have a grey bg it'll look a bit funny.
what i like the most is that when you browse your HD it looks like default view on web folders. neat.

Cons
- I can't help it but it's godawful in terms of design. The status bar looks like something from Windows 98 and the address bar becomes diahrrea-colored when a site loads----------
you can download extensions to make it look neater.

"- When you visit HTTPS-sites, or fill in any forms for that matter, it prompts you that you are entering a secure / insecure connection or whatever, and it has this checkbox "alert me whenever I'm entering.. etc". BUT, shouldn't it say DO NOT alert me? It keeps popping up every time."
true i found that to be extremely odd as well.
