Sweden is okay. What do you want to do? Anything in mind? I live in Sthlm.

agentfour... Nice to hear that you plan a trip to Sweden. :-)

Stockholm is the best place if you want to come to a city for nightclubbing, shoppin, walks in the parks and expensive coffess in nice cafees while looking at gorgeous girls but if you want like wildlife and that kind of stuff I'd suggest going to the northern parts of Sweden. Or to Berzeeli Bar at hamngatan :-)

When do you plan to go here? Can check up for you if anything special is going on.

yep, stockholm is great for urban style-things. i used to live there for six years so i know the place pretty well. just tell me when you're going here and i could hook you up with some good people to hang around with (unfortunately i'm leaving sweden for half a year by the end of november so i guess i cannot take care of you myself ;)
göteborg is the second biggest city, on the west coast. also good for urban life, smaller but with a certain welcoming atmosphere.
the archipelago at the west coast is also great, a sort of unique place with thousands of low, rocky islands.
though, consider that sweden is best in the summer time (june-seotember) in my opinion.

thanks all.
ill be heading there early december so im guessing its gonna be cold.
Im interested in seeing some general sights, some architecture and art and maybe a day trip somewhere else. Definiately keen to hit the nightlife, hip hop shows, clubs, and girls wooohooo!not sure how an australian will go with the swedish girls however.

Hallå eller?
I live in Sweden, but come from Scotland. I'm in Gothenburg which is cool, but obviously smaller than Stockholm. In my opinion the folk can be a bit more welcoming down here.
If I was you I'd Gothenburg for a couple of nights, then down to Copenhagen via Malmö. Copenhagen is magic!

I'm half swedish living in germany, but I visit my grandfather every year once or twice for some weeks.
Stockholm is a very nice city with an awesome nightlife.
Göteborg is also very nice I've heard, but I've never been there. If you are more a natural type of guy, Småland or Skåne is worth a trip too. Nice landscape especially near the coast. I lve near the city Karlshamn which is in that are and the sea life there is cool. There are many small islands and it is a wonderful landscape.

agenfour: I lived in Sydney for a while and if you as an aussie have the same luck with swedish chicks as I as a swede had with the australians then it should be all ok! :-)

Arlanda is the best airport, you can get pretty cheap flights to Skavsta as well but that is pretty far from the city (I see you are located in London so it's like comparing Heathrow and Stansted I suppose.)
