Don't forget to throw on the hipster tight-fitting sports coat

Okay. Dated. Sure. I am all about opinions and open-mindedness, but in this situation my boss wants me to design a jacket with specific things in mind, this being one of them.
I think you said that simply to be a dick.
If you were trying to be constructive, which we all know you don't have to be, you might say "An alternative to that kind of thing might be.." or "you may want to research other ideas for attaching garments".. you actually did not even inquire about what I was making.
This whole "I am on top of the world" bit is fucking discouraging.
I come here seeking help and advice from great designers, people who DO know what is out of style, but lately I see a lot of straight out dickhead criticism, it is unwelcoming and rude.
I post here because a lot of people know more than me. A lot of people I admire as designers and their business sense.
So you can take that knowledge and keep picking on people like me who are not arrogant enough NOT to ask others for knowledge or opinions, or you can embrace it and help us out, or even IGNORE us when we are being lowly ignorant out of style losers producing crap everyday and let someone who gives us a few seconds, maybe up to a minute of thought respond and actually answer the fucking question instead of post based on his or her own arrogance and uninformed but yet decided opinion.

Every string has some sort of smart-ass or witty rebuke. Don't take it so hard..

T-Shirts might be at the coolest point they've ever been.
While in San Francisco in September, so many hip clothing shops were filled with $35+ "designer" shirts that I would have snatched dozens of if I had the $$$.
Same thing here in Chicago at stores like the Belmont Surplus store and Untitled. I know there are more that those, too.
I guess the higher price and the low-run of shirts like that means you don't run the risk of buying something similiar in Urban Outfitters and have the worry that you're one of 1,000 or more that are going to buy it because UO has made it cool. No knock on that store, but that's just how it is.

If you're ever in NYC - Zakka is the place to go for tshirts..

dude reread that post of yours and realise what a dramaqueen twat you sound.
I gave you my opinion and thats that, how should I know why you were asking.
OK here's my helpful advice: Dear Sir, I personally feel that style is worn by trendy wannabe urban types who in actual fact suck ass. Alternatively you may not want to follow my 'uninformed opinion' and carry on with your mediocrity, afterall, I'm just 'being a dick'.
whatever..

grafiske actually has a point.

I apologise for my rash post, it wasn't actually meant to be scathing, just my observation. Personalised/patched/altered Tees have been around for a long time, and have been mainstream for a long time also, which is fine, if that is your target. Fake london made a name on it and then went bust because they kept knocking out the same shit, they had their moment appearing in the papers on the backs of stars and celebs but the was five years ago.
If I'm honest, I think that the overkill of 'design' styled t-shirts is well past saturation point, and as a long time lover of t-shirts (I hand painted my first when I was about 14), I have to admit, that though I will still wear t-shirts, I hope they die a death already and things move on.
