I don't know about you, but i am sick of the same thing from the same people. Yeah it looks good, but not as good as their other work, actually looks a little sloppy in my opinion.
I am not saying i can do better, but i would like to see these companies move beyond the expected... these are the people that i look up to for inspiration.

well yeah, that's what almost everyone aspires but you must not forget that it's a client /creatives working situation. clients can feel otherwise or have no understanding or a need for groundbreaking stuff.
most clients don't understand groundbreaking stuff. because groundbreaking stuff doesn't fit current trends. they just want to be like everyone else. esp. with viva, although it's a music channel it's still german, and in germany anything that is too extraordinary or too way out there is not really accepted or they don't want to take a risk alienizing from their target audience. imo.
btw, in ntb it says a new german music network, it isn't a new network, it has been around for 10 years or so.

I was not too impressed by these three pieces, but I actually liked the new general appearance of viva.
F.ex. the animations for the club rotation or the news.
Or this fashion show with intro by the artdirector of spex.

I agree that client/creative relations can hinder the output. Clients do tend to want to be on same par as others. These fit that category for sure. I just didn't think that they were 'that' amazing, once again compared to these guys' other stunning work, that i admire.
