http://www.arcademedia.net/pooch…
this is a clothing / furniture site for spoiled little ankle-biting dogs.
basically the only people that'll be going to this site are bored wealthy housewives or resale vendors.
I'm attempting the post art nouveau trendy boutique style that drips of 50's elegance.

ah now i see your reasoning for the other thread bizzyman
from what youve said it works, i like
are u gonna html or flash it ?
- function820
cute.
nice concept to, very simple and straight forward, seems to fit your audience
im not a fan of the content font (courier?) and i would make the content area wider, or 2 columns, because there feels likes there is alot of white space on the edge
what do you have in mind for the menu roll overs? (if anything?)

coco is priceless. for what it is, I think so far it suits the means. I don't know about the fades on the outsides of the page.. the classy wallpaper look is nice but maybe make it look like the outside edges start to roll backwards, instead of fading to pink ? I think bored housewives will eat this up like O magazine.

haha. I like it. I'd tone down the white lace background a bit. I like it but its a bit bright.

I like it. I want to put on Jackie O sunglasses and drink a Vodka Martini while I browse.
I would play with the content section a bit (I realize its a bit early in the design stage).
A 2/3 collum in the center with a side bar. You've started such a nice style, I'd love to see you play with it more.Lovely.

yes blackspade... that's why I was looking for reference last week... I appreciate what you had to toss my way. I'm probably just going to go html w/this site - I'm not going to get that much cash on this.
As far as the background... I don't like the fade either.. I'm going to kill that.
I appreciate the words, the main content font is going to be Georgia.
I'm open to suggestions on the rollovers... I was thinking about putting a soft (really soft) fuzzy pink gausian blur behind the copy - very subtle.
Great feedback so far.
If you guy's have any other sites that are along this line of style - I'd love the reference.
cheers. :)

is the copy final?
- abizzyman0
chossy... do you mean the writing?... or the style of font?
That's a first draft on the writing. The copy writer and the client are reviewing that for right now.

ahhh! that music! panicked to close the window. didn't spend the time to even find the volume kill.
- IRNlun60
I'd incorporate a bone on the rollovers somehow...just a thought.

paris hilton will be shopping here in no time. pink, small dogs, and bones.
- IRNlun60
haha 'cause she likes to bone..
haha..
ha..
hmm.

i'm good with the whole look, etc., but i'm a bit cautious on the approach... specifically the headline/copy.
i realize you stated your target audience, but i worry that if i were in that audience i might interpret that as either someone looking down their nose or someone just too damn goofy.
maybe it's over-sensitivity, but "to you, Coco is priceless" reads, "too normal, sane folks, your an eccentric weirdo with too much time/money".
- blaw0
your = you're.
damn.
- abizzyman0
:) agreed blaw... but if you saw the prices and the imagery of the 'collection' you may change your tune.
The only people going to spend money on this stuff are those who spend $600 on the Burberry doggy travel bag.

rollovers need rhinestones!
