awe sorry magic, it's just not what i was looking for. i wasn't looking for a freebee. didn't ask for it and definitely wasn't sure if i should take you seriously or if you were just out to prove that you were kick ass for taking 5 minutes to whip it up. no offense, but i worked hard on a lot of these designs to have them totally ridiculed. hey i don't got it.
anyway it pissed me off that everyone wants me to take your design and stuff and shut the fuck up.man you guys need to level yourselves out a bit and see where i'm coming from here.

well bud, i did it for my own reasons, fun and evil, so ou can take it how you want, although im not sure calling people names and cursing is going to win anyone over either, if you are happy with your designs, then thats all that matters. if you want and respect the opinions shared here at NT, then dont go freaking out at everybody cuz they said your designs are shit, im sure youve said to other craftsman - "hey look at the ratty old shed, must have been bob who did it" laughing as you give your buddy a kidney shot, thing is i dont give a fuck about sheds, if i did, id be a carpenter

Way too much hatin' going on in this thread, I've seen a lot of stupid requests here and this was not even close to the worst. I agree that the pay isn't much, lord knows I've done tons of ID work for less, but I also believe in helping a brother out and working something out, regardless of their talent level or how much money they have, whatever. Everyone jumped on his ass right off the bat so no wonder he retaliated he had every right to call out some of you.

its not the request snuggles, its polar and how he deals with things.
he's not new here, he's been around for a little while so he has to have seen how this place works and the reaction people get.
he's making like he really expected to get all kinda of praise and glory for the 15 hours he put into his logos, and if you look at the first few responses to this thread they were all lighthearted and "taking a piss"
polar is the one who took it seriously and got all bent out of shape... people were even giving him suggestions on how go about it and a few even did offer to do something for him.

i refuse to continue with this any further. sum it up? i thought i'd get some college kids just starting out to maybe spend 10 minutes, draw up a silly design - which would kick the crap out of anything i could whip up in that amount of time and submit it for an honest little competition.
that didn't go over so well. you guys got your back up and started telling me how it really works and that's fine but you could have really pissed off. so that didn't go over any anyone who was interrested just got scared from all of your shite ass oppinions about how i could go about getting one fukin logo done.
so fed up in that thread i decided to sit down and draw some up on my own. read up - i did get a few good crits - and i was happy to get those, but holy shit the amount of insults you shedded off on me WELL before i came down on you assholes was increadible. i eventually wasn't able to distinguish the constructive from the decontructive and if you have any idea how long i've been stressing over this because i have to get this done soon your 'taking the piss' was well over the line.
you guys were arrogant, uninsightful and you did anything you could to tear a strip right off me when you had the chance. you stuck me against a wall, i decided to work my way out of it. don't even pretend like most of you in here sat around and offerred anything worth posting.
i'm fed up, with this and i've subsequently given up any logo design. great forum. designer forum for designers only huh?
don't come asking one of those reno forums on how to fix that kitchen fosset next time. that's for contractors only. install it yourself and prepare to have 20 of us standing around calling your work shit, stupid, dumb, back to school and whatever else you guys came up with.

no offense dude, i was honestly trying to help you out, but yes this is a design website, we may not talk about design all the time, because we are absorbed in it all day, but there are plenty of other message boards out there if you dont seem fit. im not trying to discourage you but, i dont think you are playing the game well at all. if you are an aspiring designer, then thats great, all the power to you, but pointing fingas and trying to belittle our little community just doesnt fly.

don't respect us or your work? hardly why do you think i came here for a logo crit bud?!look. i didn't come here to shit on anyone. i wanted some help and when you fuckers started climbing all over me, i snapped. 3 am is not a good time when you've been working hard on something and you get nothing but "your'e a piece of shit polar". believe though, if anything, this experience has made me appreciate good design if anything. can't take that from you.
so... if cussed you, you probably fucking deserved it. no harsh feelings 82. you were quite reasonable. i love how you guys are victim to every old client and the outside world for that matter. hell and to add to that anyone looking to do their own work cause they don't have more than 150 to spend is 'dangerous' and needs to be subdued.
keep posting though. this is quite the long thread and i'm rather impressed by it. any press is good press.
