good advice, son.

There is time for more money son - you're jsut outta school...stick with a place that your skillset can blossom..and you can learn more about the business...when you have a year or two of experience and a solid portfolio under your belt then you can take your pick of better paying jobs.
Money /= more happiness

(oct 26 04, 15:33)i agree.. 15k sounds like a lot more but really though, you've been at your current for only 2 months, if you kick ass, i doubt you'll worry about low over the next year or so

I'm thinking that. There would be a shit load of responsibility at the new job since I would be the sole in house desinger. Yet with the place I am at right now I work with an art director, and another designer. so it's a good learning environment.
yet the money is very tempting when I owe 20k in student debt.

Okay I am currently in a low paying design job, but I'm still wet behind the ears (just out of school). I've been with this company for like 2 months now.
Anyway I have basically been offered another job paying 15k more a year. However its for a software company making interfaces all day with russian programmers who speak terrrible english.
Do I quit my low paying design job where I make flash animations all day, yet work with really nice people in a relativly fun environment or trade it in for the cash and go work wiht the programmer nerds?
Or do I try to do some negotiating. fuck I suck at this stuff I need like a manager or some shit.
I feel like crap right now making excuses (lying) to my current employer so I can meet with this other company for interviews and stuff. grrrr
