I met some of the San Francisco Pentagram crew this past Tuesday at the MOMA for the release of their new book, Profiles. Check it out.
Actually, members of Pentagram have produced a shitload of books. That's what they do for a living, design

I have a few of the Pentagram papers at home. (The wee books where partners publish stories, poems, photography etc). They are consistently good. (I think they have some of the older ones on display in the barbican/communicate exhibition at the moment if anyones interested.)

we had the 'ideas on design' at my previous workplace. the book was actually kinda educational and it was inspiring to see all that eighties design.

"The art of looking sideways" by Alan Fletcher, co-founder of Pentagram. it's not a typical design book, more a collection of interesting thoughts.

'The Compendium' Don't have any other Pentagram books to compare with though but it's a nice book. Looks nice in the shelf.

the art of looking sideways is a great book. I try to read something out of it everyday, chock full of ideas.
what is the new pentagram book out?
- meok0
"the Art of Looking Sideways" is by far the BEST book to bring into the crapper. A bunch of fun facts and observations.

too heavy for the crapper imho, leaves red marks on your knees...
