the only people who complain about it are people who can't afford it.
chicks dig a really sharp dressed guy.
unless you're going for the marlboro man look.

Yes @ marlboro man. I usually go for the early Marlon Brando thing, Levis and a White Tee.
I just looked at the prices for Diesel jeans before I started this thread.
I could afford a Ferrari if I sold enough of my possesions and worked hard enough, but it's not worth it. It's a material item.

for $400 who cares what chicks think, buy a prostitute. i did.
i didn't really buy a prostitute.
- instantok0
dickies cost $17 and come in every conceivable color so every shirt will have a mate...oddly enough the army / navy where i buy them also sells diesel, ben sherman, 555 soul, and other pricy things...wierd

i'd never pay 400 for a pair of jeans.
i can't see ever going over 250.

jeans over 60$ are for people that think that a tag will make them cooler. Its all good I can understand that, when I was in high school I used to spend a lot of money on a pair of nikes,
Now I learned that good clothes and expensive clothes most of the time have nothing in common. It's true I cant afford paying 400 on a pair of jeans, but that doesnt mean I want them, I will never spend that kind of money on jeans, I rather spend it on something else.
There is a saying in my country that I will try to translate here:
"A monkey dressed in silk, is still a monkey"

if you think anybody who pays $200 for a pair of jeans is crazy, all i can say is, you don't understand where we're coming from. :) i guess it's like how a not-so-good-looking gothic girl doesn't understand how a drop-dead gorgeous trendy girl can spend all day shopping...
- abstrakt0
meaning they're coming from different walks of life, not that anybody who doesn't understand is ugly :) hehe

hmmm, well I used to be an abercombie, hollister, AE, and TommyHilfiger whore in Junior High and the First half of HS...then I figured out it really doesn't matter and that it's edging on boring/cliche. Plus i'd rather have money to spend on other things.
- abstrakt0
it's not about being trendy... i refuse to wear pants with the "whiskers" as people them. the faded lines that come out from the crotch. that just about limits my pants options to about 5 pairs. what i'm saying is i can't find the style i'm looking for in most stores except expensive stores. sometimes i'll find something cheaper that looks good and i'll jump on it, but most of the time the only good stuff is in the good stores. but tha'ts only for nice clothes. for tshirts and stuff i won't pay over 30 bucks, unless i really really like it.

it usually just comes down to what kind of crowd you want to attract.
if you want a hot model chick from here in hollywood or something you spring for the expensive shit.
if you want a girl-next-door type who disdains flashy shit you roll with the dickies or whatever.
you know it's all about the girls.
- tfsmag0
i CAN afford it, but i would never spend that much on a pair of jeans.
i mean it's pretty fucking stupid, regardless of who you're trying to attract.
give me a good pair of levis any day of the week.
