I was in Allston, MA a couple years ago when the Patriots won. There was probably about 2000-3000 people on the streets celebrating so the riot patrol was sent out, with good reason. One thing I noticed first hand is that they have no respect for anybody but their fellow riot patrollers. It's a part of their strategy, nothing against it but thats just the way it is.
If the cop that shot the poor girl can be blamed for anything, its for aiming too high. You're not supposed to shot at peoples faces with non-lethal weapons, because...they become lethal.
Banning alcohol sale for the World Series is just bullshit.

Yeah I was mad when I wrote the first post that so maybe I gave the Sox and cops too much of a bad rap. But: I truly beleive 1. Boston can't handle the Sox winning, so I hope to God they don't. 2. I have a hate/acceptance relationship with police. Granted when I need them I will appreciate them, but I've been fucked with too many times by police for no reason and have maybe once been treated with any respect by one. To me, the mentality most people have that drives them to be cops is an aggressive and power hungry one and this is an example of it showing through. Those cops were having the highlight of excitement of their entire careers and you know they just crave the chance to pounce on someone... They were needed that night FOR SURE, but that shit was too much... And I never tried to come off anti-sports. That's stupid. But I am anti-Red Sox winning just for the fact that Boston is full of idiots.

Oh yeah and for all the cop lovers who got mad at me for saying pig, I'm sorry but any cop who shoots a girl in the face is a pig. That's it. Who are these people who tell me that my post was anti-sports cause I said I didn't want the Red Sox to win and since I said a pig shot the girl in the face I must hate all cops?! Give me a break. Isn't there a difference between misfiring a non-lethal weapon which accidentally hits an innocent girl in the face and purposely shooting/killing a girl to compensate for being teased/punked in high school?
Seriously, think about how retarded it is to blame the cop without getting all the details first. What does the cop gain by PURPOSELY doing it? Suspension, possible termination, the guilt of being a killer--all to transfer his inadequacuies and insecurities at some girl he doesn't know?
Think about being a cop having to go break up a riot. Drunk people are taunting you. Fires are being lit. Cars are being overturned. It's chaos. Fights begin. People have bottles and maybe knives and guns. Your job is to protect the people and the property. Yes, mistakes get made, and some of those mistakes you can't take back. Yes, some cops panic, some handle the situation badly. But until all the details come in, I'm withholding judgment.
