red sox pitchers adjusted pretty well against yankees' 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 hitters and i would say that they're pretty good.

Nahhh, the Yankees bats just fell asleep. BoSox pitching is nothing special outside of Schilling and herky-jerky Lowe.
What happens when your starters cannot go the same amount of inning they did against the Yanks. Your middle relief and relief is average at best. However, with that being said BoSox could be destined for this thing after those games. You never know. If the Cards win, you got problems, if Houston does, I think you can do it.

dear jazx
you need to stop talking trash right now.
if i remember right you were gonna bet your house on the yanks.

The curse isn't over until the BoSox win it. Don't gloat too much, win the damn thing and then come back and talk about it.
Pride goes before the fall.

It's east to talk trash in sports, Greedo. That's what's fun about it. Haahaaaaa, yeah I was gonna bet the house. I also said I'd eat crow and did it. Don't misquote me or anything.
I don't even like the Yankees. I just call it as I see it.

come on jazx, if your pirates were in this thing...

well i just want to clear up that i'm not a red sox fan, i just like them more than yankees. i went to school in massachusetts so have a lot of red sox fans and i like to see them happy after all these years of being sad.
i think the cardinals have been the best team all year but it's different in the playoffs. i think that houston now has as good of a chance of winning the whole thing as the cardinals and red sox. carlos beltran has been unstoppable. that game 7 will be as good as the yankees/red sox game 7, just not as much will be on the line.
red sox will go into teh world series with a lot of momentum. they all believe in the curse and they feel that this is the year that they'll break the curse. every player on the team will have a lot of confidence in themselves and give whoever makes it a good fight.

(oct 21 04, 06:35)Greedo, you're right. heee hee, it's always that way. I'm not even sure why I started rooting against the BoSox in this. I really don't like the Yanks. But somehow I got pissed at the dirtball looking BoSox. I mean get a haircut and shave. Mutts. ;) On that note, the Pirates, who are they. Ohhhhhhh those losers, yep.

in pondering this blessed turn of events, it dawned on me that if the Republican surrogates, the Astros were to be up against the Democratic surrogates, the Red Sox, it would be a nice touch for the election....which brings me to the proposition that Mr. Bush and Mr. Kerry compete in a series of athletic aptitude tests including, but not limited to martial arts, mind control, ping pong, hockey, slot machines, and blunt rolling.

I know one thing, guys with giant egos like the Yanks, don't like to be embarrassed. And that's what happened. Total collapse.
It's similar to the situation with the Lakers in LA. Time for some Yankee housecleaning. Steinbrenner is pissed.

bless you my son
