anybody know a typeface that is round but its round using pixels rather then vector smooth curves.

huh? that doesn't make sense to me?

i think he peans a rounded mixel font.

pixels are round now?
- mevsthem0
the round edges of the letter O for example would be done with pixels, it wouldn't look like a perfect curved line but a curved lined done by hand pixel by pixel. See my NT Pic the edges of the bubble are round using pixels.

Just type with a rounded font in Paint.

thanks guys but im thinking of something else. ok lets say you take a 1x1 px font, and write the number 0 for example and you make each pixel 8px x 8px then you would have a vertical rectangle then take away the pixels on the top and bottom edges to make it look round.

So what you are saying is taking a pixel font which is best viewed at either 8 or 9 or 11 and then blowing it up to twice the size? You want to make the edges look round? Dude, I don't get it? You can stretch any font in Illustrator and play around with it... a pixel is square by nature.

I know a pixel is a square not round. I mean making the edges of a letter example 0 or Q round subtracting pixels on the edges to make a round curve. Pretend my NT image the Hello bubble is a letter 0 see how the edges are round that was done by subtracting pixels. Im looking for a font with a similar look, I could do it by hand but I thought id ask if anyone knows if there is a typeface that exists like that.

isn't that a pixel font?

well i guess but mostly when a person says pixel font they mean like 5x7 each pixel is 1x1. I want a blown up pixel font with curves made of pixels not by taking away one pixel block on top edges.

i still don't get it
- mevsthem0
hehe.
a pixel font is 1x1 px lets say you take each pixel and make it 8x8px then remake that 1x1 pixel letter with 8x8 px blocks then you have a larger version of that 1x1 px font except making the edges by taking away a 8x8 px block I would make it round by subtracting pixels to get a curve.
- JazX0
good luck at that

I think he means, say, a 36 or 72 point letter rendered as 1 point pixels, so the curve would look more gradual, but still pixelated, like in the old days on the mac if you didn't have ATM.
I guess you could type in Photoshop in bitmap mode?
