Have any of you had this problem?
I created a piece in Flash 2004 and now the client wants it as an AVI. No problem! I'll just export it to a MOV and then convert it. But when I do Flash gives me an error saying that the installed version of QuickTime does not have the handlers for this type of Macromedia Flash file. That ever happen to you? I have QuickTime Pro by the way.

set the publish settings to version 5 me thinks is correct yes

How you do that?

goes to publish settings and change the version of flash your exporting your swf as to version 5, it might even be version 4 I can't remember. It's because Quicktime doesn't support Flash MX I'm pretty sure.

If you have TV-out or S-video-out or any type of 'out' on your video card, you can hook it up a VCR or DV-Cam and tape it.
The maximum resolution will be 720x540.
The benefits to this is that you can have actionscript in your Flash piece, and it will not be affected in the transfer to Quicktime, and there's no software overhead to slow things down (in the case of using a program like Camtasia, a software-based screen motion capture program).

Thanks nospacebar I got it to export to a MOV file but now I lost all my audio. Any help?

maybe click on streaming sound when you export the quicktime or it might be how you have your sound setup in the movie

plug the audio back in using qt pro?
might save you the headache messing with export settings by trial and error
