critique it like it's your bitch.

you should think about having your floors refinished.
and i think it is cool. but apparently i am a hack / shit designer so what do i know.
- BonSeff0
thats fresh sucka!
i like the red, the color doesnt make yer butt look big at all.
is it already printed up?
can you fix my ripped sofa?seriously tho, it's sweet & original. nice typeface too.
- Gorbie0
:^) thanks.
why are you a hack? you're website looks great. yeah - the floors need more work than my logo for sure.
BSeff.. thanks man. no i ain't got nuthing printed except for this letterhead off the epson (thanks again for the rip).
i need to start making some invoices and bcards so i gotta decide on a logo for now.

*raises hand to slap, pauses, runs in for a hug.
very nice, the ® is the only thing you might consider.
otherwise very nice...
- johndiggity0
you missed my logo thread this weekend.
i quite like the ®. i think it really makes it IMO, i would make it a little larger. it's got a real nice authentic rustic vibe going and the ® reminds me of the brand mark on a steer.
- Bouncinsoul0
Very nice. I like the red part looks like its lifted off the surface and subtly looks 3d. The ® is cool aswell. Are you goin glossy or matte on the bussiness cards?
- kld0
I like the ®, it more of the position of it coming straight out at 3 oclock, try 4:30 maybe.
- Gorbie0
thanks i appreciate it. Bouncin'Soul - that's why i'm showing a photo of it printed as opposed to straight to a JPG.
I'm leaning more towards uncoated stock. i like paper with a bit of tooth - and i think the logo type and mark will work well on it.
thanks for the input kld. i'll play around with it.
- kld0
your tag line is very well said, clear and to the point.
- armed_rob0
I really like it!
The (r) is okay – but try moving it to the corner... so you got the tip in one coner and the (r) in the opposite....?
My only question is why is it called hello bubba?
- kld0
at the baseline of the A in bubba maybe?
- Gorbie0
cause bubba is my given nickname. though i'm a skinny kid from california.
and to tell you the truth (and try not to sound like a cop-out)... there's room for irreverence in this business. it doesn't all have to make sense. I've tested the waters a bit - and people actually ENJOY saying the name. My clients actually call me and say just that
"hello Bubba"
- armed_rob0
easy easy... im not saying anything bad about the name, just wondering (thats also a part of this business – right?)
Take a look at my name for christ sake!
- Gorbie0
i didn't mean to sound excited. :)
i was literally explaining my thoughts behind my business name... cause i've asked myself the same question.
- armed_rob0
now I like the logotype again!
:P

I dig that logo a lot. Best one I've seen lately.
- toe-knee0
lovely and unique. I would look at that logo and think the company are wholesome and approacable
- toe-knee0
Ring a company you admire, pretend you would like them to do some work for you and get them to send you a creative brief. sneely but effective
- toe-knee0
damn, that was meant for the Creative breif thread
sorrry
- Gorbie0
wow... that's very flattering Boba & Toe-knee.
thanks a lot. :)
