i've got some quick n00b questions about moving through a query string var turned to an array

i want to echo this:
ecko "[img src=\"img/galleries/2000/2000_01...

echo this i mean:
echo "[img src=\"img/galleries/2000/2000_01... /]";
but replace "2000" with the var $yr, and the number "1" after the "_0" with the var $i
any help with the trick quotes/ slash syntax would be seroiusly appreciated

try some examples. the hard part is to write the specific pattern for the search/replace feature.
