I'm so sad...I can't believe how positive he was about what happened to him...he was such an inspiration....rip.....

i'm glad he was able to achieve many great things after his accident...what a great guy. both he and margo kidder have had terrible luck :(

Why would it be cool to make fun of Rick James post-mortem, but not Christopher Reeve? Both were entertainers and now both are dead. The unfortunate thing now is that one of the poster children for stem cell research is dead. We all know it takes celebrity status to get a message across in this world... well that and a whole lot of violence...

anyway. my grandfather was staying in the hospital room across from Reeves when he had his riding accident. ;o(

so very sad indeed. Oh, and Rick James was a crack addict that recorded songs like "Super Freak". He deserves to be made fun of.... Reeves however does not.

why is it oh so sad when 'superman' dies but not rick james?
Chris Reeves spent his life making shit movies (i dare you to name one movie other than the superman ones without looking them up on imdb) and hiding away on his large estate playing at things only the rich and idle can afford. That's how he broke his neck. Yes, he did exploit his star power to bring a positive message to the world after the incident, but before he was just another upper tax bracket playboy.
I wish some of these celebrity heroes would care about something BEFORE it happened to them or their family. Bono is a MUCH bigger hero in my book, as annoying as he may be.

I don't remember seeing Rick James as an advocate for science. I do remember him beating up some ladies though...

What GreedoLives said. Rick James got caught smoking crackand tying up women in his basement. Who know what SuperReeves might have been doing. I'm not saying that he's guilty of doing anything, but we always remember those who did get caught. I never knew either one of those RIP's personally so I won't pass judgement. I just don't understand why it's not cool to make fun of certain people. It's comedy. And like everything else in this friggin PVN it's opinion. That's why I can't stay away from this site because I constantly have something to say and I always want to know what everyone else is saying... when's the next NTer's Anonymous meeting?
