these are some prelim. .jpg's for a flash site that's about to go into production.
The idea here is CLEAN and crisp - pushing an upscale lifestyle.
The building is very classy (still being built) and will be the tallest building in Tempe, AZ (ASU area in phoenix). 'Centerpoint' will have a classic loft / condo feel w/lots of techy gadgets all over the building.

really nice and slick, good photo
. Dont know about the glow around the apples though, kind of cheapens it a bit.Logo reminds me of channel
- abizzyman0
agreed... i'm not sure how I'm going to highlight the objects... i did that quickly to show them that the objects will be interactive.
... and yes... the logo does remind people of chanel (which they like)... so I'm cool with it.

looking good. i think it will play right into the hands of your target audience.

*bump...
... new adjustments etc.
- scarabin0
so you're trying to do this site?

.. unfortunetly our idea isn't all that original I guess... but we've been using the brushed metal / elevator door thing for about 4 months now.
see some of the pdf's below if you're interested:

the 'object in the room' thing isn't exactly an 'original idea either - but I assure you that we're in no way trying to rip off criminalclothing.
This site is for a new building - luxury condos etc - we're producing 6 floors that represent lifestyle - and three floors that contain pertinent info on the building (amenities etc)...
... I was pretty bummed out when I saw criminalclothing the other day - because we were all ready well underway w/our approach.
oh well.

like the look and feel - crisp photos

It's a good idea... but sorry i can't agree less about what's been said about the photos and how they can be described as 'crisp' is a mystery... looks like pics from an 80's interior decoration catalouge for yuppies... cheap as digital photo...

We did a similar flash thing for hilton in Japan.(the zooming thing)
You cannot read the Japanese but you can see the idea.

Beautiful stuff abizzyman, b=very clean, vert nice.
Love the colours. You realy create a warmth with those images used.
The only crit is the metal surface. Maybo go out and photgraph some brushed metal, rather than using the vertical noise blur in ps. have some rivets or something...
- Bouncinsoul0
Bad ass. super slick.
- fifty500
i like the site you've come up with. well designed, but the brushed metal appearance looks kind of cheap. try using less noise when making the texture.

Please don't hate me for this, but:
On some of the images in your storyboard I can see copy that reads:
"There could perhaps be a short paragraph of information here"
"some sort of heading here"
...and the likes.
I can't help to think that for some parts of the site you are designing before you know what information you want to reviel there.
The information on the site has a function, and you know what they say about design and function. One suggestion I have is, (if you haven't already) perhaps you can map out exactly what you want to inform to the user. Or actualy, try to sort out all the stuff that the user doesn't need to see, and then design.
Of course you might already have done this. I'm just guessing from the mockup texts. Also, I've been known to be an ass.

"Also, I've been known to be an ass. "

I love the clause PeterH
