powerbook keyboard

having a strange problem on a 15 inch PB where keys seem to randomly break then somehow without me doing a thing they fix themselves.
the keys are physically "breaking", seems a bit like the spring mechanism under the key is damaged and the key barely moves. the problem seems to have migrated from the left to the right side of the keyboard and affects only a few keys at a time.

I've replaced my stupid keyboard twice so far...once the shift button was staying down an extra second and then popping back up. Next the whole thing was lifting on the bottom right side.
have them replace it. Have APPLE replace that shit. I bought mine through my old job MacMall...and had them replace the first couple bad items...so now Apple has no record of anything happening...I'd have a new machine by now. :(

If its a Tibook its apparently very common. Those things break like flies.

i once had a bitten fingernail bit under my keys.. did exactly the same thing as what you said.
try shaking the keyboard about upside down or seeing if you can see somethign under the keys.

My Ti-book keys had a near death experience with a glass of wine once but all are still all functional. That moment still haunts me.
