came out of a gig tonight and it was gone...anybody else ever had that happen? stories?

I ordered a new RS4 a while back. Had it for 12 days, and then sent it off to a tuner in Germany. Two days later I found out they had a break-in. All the cars were gone. Mine was shipped to Latvia, where they made new pinks (insurance company told me), and sold it off to Russia. There's nothing the insurance company can do, baltic beaurocracy (sp?) mixed with a little bribery basically entitles them to a stolen car. My stolen car. My very *expensive* stolen car.

that sucks. mine was stolen twice within exactly one month on the exact parking spot. first time they found it back a week later just a mile away. didn't survive the last time. kids wrecked it and tried to set it on fire.
happened quite some time ago though. can't really be bothered about it these days. but back then i was mad like hell and looking for revenge.

i mean, i remember you told us once it was stolen in Germany, but i thought that was on a trip and thus stolen somewhere in a public area (street etc.)..
if it was on private property (of a company taking care of your car) it might be a different story..

Oh no, their insurance company eventually solved it with mine so I was compensated. But with the car being a limited edition and all, its not like they can give me a new one..
It still f-ing sucks that they can do such a thing without getting caught though.

anyways, that just sucks to get such a car stolen, specially knowing some russian mafioso painted it pink so i he could give it away to some cunt he fucks that week!!..

What I think he meant was that they make new pinkslips for the cars, so that the car doesn't really "belong" to you anymore... I don't think they actually painted them pink :P

i had a honda civic that got stolen three times within a year-and-a-half.
the first time i found it literally right around the corner with only minor damage to the ignition, the second time the cops found it when some kids were using it to ram parked cars in a pretty bad part of town (the insurance company decided to fix it up again anyways) and the third time they found it, it looked like this:
(the seats were gone too)
By that time my friendly insurance company had canceled my comprehensive coverage as well (i was too high risk), so i was basically fucked.
By the way, i had a steering wheel lock (the club) on the car each time it got stolen...those things don't work. They hacksaw through the steering wheel and just pop those out.
Now i have a pedal lock, which seems to be the way to go (unless your pedals have pins in them, in which case they're fairly easy to remove and your pedal lock ain't worth shit).I hate those thieving bastards.

Showed up for rehersals, had all the bands equipment in my car. I saw these 2 guys peeking around the corner at me, but it was to late.........glock to the head..........
took everything..........beware of those peekers!
