Sony 17" A-series (VGN-A190) is dreamy. Have you seen the screen?!?!? 1600x1200 native res with 64mb video card. Beat that PB! Plus TV input for Tivo capabilities (Not MCE). 4x DVD+-RW and more for bout $2500. The only thing that the PB can't touch is the display (no other laptop for that matter). Go to any major computer store and check it out.

The Toshiba Qosmio is over priced and over rated.
PC web browsers are only vulnerable for people who don't continue updated their software. Almost 50% of people are switching to Firefox now anyway so you do have web browser options avail if that is your concert.
BUT over all, if Apples do have comparable laptops with the same specs, they will probably render faster for your 3d or motion apps if you're into that among other advantages Apples have.

After all I really think I'm going for the PB. I have worked with other macs, including a powerbook and that "animal" just rocks. I never worked with a sony portable but I also heard some bad shits going on with that machine.
PD G5... well I think we want see them till the end of 2005... and that's just to long for a man to wait.. you know.. a man has got to work :D

I been working with flash on my powerbook for a while now..
It almost seem impossible to me, that anyone had problems running flash on a mac \:)

Vaio is nice and i heard good stuff about the screens.. but the real problem with it, is the OS running on it, so unless you wanna wear a Red Hat you should go with the Powerbook

Superbaka, it's been out for some time. It's just under-powered and over-priced.
