    also tried centering the bitmaps on the crosshairs in the graphic objects i made out of them and they still produce the jittery effect during the resize in the motion tween. all the rest of the motion tweens are okay except for the ones involving resizing.

    looking at the timeline, i can see the image resizing on my stage without this effect, but once previewed or published, the effect is clearly seen.
