Helvetica Neue in Flash

Hello.
I am going crazy getting helvetica neue to look sweet in flash. It breaks up at low pt sizes.
Also I can 'see' every weight in Flash list of typefaces but not 75 Bold. Anyone know why this is?

copying and pasting out of Illy might work. It's still vector based or try and make it a graphic if you can.

Bananaman, we have this problem all the time at our agency, which does all of Samsung's advertising. They use Helvetica for everything. We only have this problem on the PCs. What we do is use Helvetican Neue for the regular and use Faux Bold instead of Helvetica Neue 75 Bold. Try that.

Add a 1 point stroke inside the border at 1% opacity. Save as a png with tranparency
As long as something is bounding your image your type should come out crisp
Should fix your proplem.

yep, drunktank knows the score there. You can do the same with photoshop, save as a tiff and turn on transparency. Flash will import via quicktime filter.

importing text as png isnt really a solution, its going to make your file size inflate
what size is it breaking up at?

break apart type. coat with .25 line. inside and out of each character. convert lines to fills.
serves a a ghetto bold-facing.dirty.
