i dont think any modern guitarists have beaten the ingenuity, brilliance, stamina and genius of Django Reinhardt.
There are lots influenced by his playing. Well you find me a guitar player not in awe of Django?
Lets see..classic solos would have to incliude Charlie Christian..Airmail Special, Les Paul...How high the moon, and players like Jimmy Raineyand Tal Farlow. My own personal favourite is Wes Montgomery.
Stairway to the Stars but good but does not upbeat some of the older classic solos imo.
