I saw it yesterday, almost fell asleep during the 'old' episodes (which I'd seen before). Then it got much much better and definitely kept me awake. I hadn't checked the website until now and I'm glad. The site is a fukken spoiler. The trailer shows the best parts, ie. the only few good seconds of Bill Murray RZA GZA thing, and 'vignettes' section of the site tells almost all of the stories. I hate spoilers. Whatever.
It's good that I quit smoking, so I could go and have a cigarette with my coffee after the film..

Extremely clever
Unfortunity its more rewarding to just discuss the idea of it. Sitting through the entire movie is tedious. Strange feeling to want to see what happens next, yet there is nothing even close to a climax... just a string of slightly shiny wit and alot of smoking.

"yet there is nothing even close to a climax... just a string of slightly shiny wit and alot of smoking"
that was the intention of Jim for as far as i am informed.
cinema doesn't always have to be a story. i personally love films that appeal to different intellectual/emotional approaches, like simply observations or atmosphere.

agreed dutchboy
In retrospect, it was not a climax i was looking for. Just something funnier than what was in the trailers. They revelaed to much as an earlier post pointed out.

You should check out "Fishing With Jon". The episode with Jim Jarmusch(sp?) is hilariuos where they go after sharks.

great flick. I only got through a few of them, I think I fell asleep after the White Stripes one. Then Blockbuster wanted it back...fucking nazis.

Seen it. Celebrating the mundane type of thing. Iggy Pop and Tom Waites...funny shit. It's a good rental.
