Streamline sucks, well because its not updated to osX - I kinda miss it...
I run the Silhouette plugin for Illustrator and thats a good substitute! But what the f**k is Adobe thinking not putting it into Illustrator??? Maybe next version?

when I copy the path into illustrator it doesn't paste as vector??
what is the path selector tool?

File > Export > Paths to Illustrator

There is a useful tool in illustrator that reduces the number of points.
So when you past into it, it's worth applying it.
