sorry - four months and no action?
touch on that aspect.

heh...it wasn't a purely platonic thing..we kisse dnad hugged and held hands...but...I guess we never really wanted or needed it to go any further in that. We got the most pleasure just being in each other's company..talking and laughing.
Sex isn't the be all and end all of anything - infact - I would go so far as to say that it is the least important aspect of any loving relationship

jevad, i agree... but you have to admit that sex with someone you're head over heels in love with is absolutely amazing.

Whatever you say.

"but you have to admit that sex with someone you're head over heels in love with is absolutely amazing."
no doubt.

Sex is a very fine thing, sometimes its good and sometimes it's bad, but you know, you got to try it again, and again and again....

Jevad, thanks bro, that was a nice little treat--and a perfect anecdote for my cynical mood this afternoon. I agree with zedvox, check out eternal sunshine of the spotless mind--a lot of similar parallells--and a brilliant work of cinema

the ones you never saw again. i bet there are some stories there.
in my first year of uni it had been a particularly hot summer and in perth when you get that first rain it aint like english rain (polite pitter patter drizzle drip splish splash) - the sky opens and it fucken torrents down - RAIIIIN!!! RAIIIIIIIIN!!! THUNDER!!! BOOOM!!! CRASH!!!
anyways i was caught out in the open on campus and everyone started sprinting for cover - i actually thought it was kinda nice you know, it had been so oppressively hot and there's nothin like the smell of the first rain and the sight of a raindrop the size of a dinner plate hitting that baked cracked thirsty earth.
so while everyone else was running for their concrete safety bunkers i was just strolling through the downpour, getting absolutely soaked but enjoying the sensation of it. and then i saw this one guy not running either, he was just standing there with a big grin on his face - we saw each other and i pointed at him and laughed and we realised we were both on the same tip and he opened his arms and we hugged in the rain and laughed at all the other students so anaesthetised they couldn't experience the beauty on offer and the moment was just gorgeous.
had some really interesting conversations with him but he was on his own track, in fact he did something really bad (for deluded ideological reasons) and went to jail for a while.
after he got out i only saw him once, on a bus, i didn't know how to ask how he was, i had apprehensive eyebrows like when you ask someone with a serious disease how they are feeling: "so how ARE you?" and he said "really, really good. any better and i'd be dangerous." and then he got off the bus. and i never saw him again.

ah...the moments that make life what it is.....
- zedvox0
it is funny the things you miss.
i miss the smile my ex had early int he morning while stretching her arms and how she would just jump out ready to take on the day.... but that smile was reason enough to wake up before her and wait for her eyes to open......

vespa your story reminded me of this...
"There is something to be learned from a rainstorm.
When meeting with a sudden shower, you try not to get wet and run quickly along the road.
But doing such things as passing under the eaves of houses, you still get wet.
When you are resolved from the beginning, you will not be perplexed, though you still get the same soaking.
This understanding extends to everything."

ghostdog :) i love that film. so many people said it was shit but jarmusch's pace and Robby Müller's static framing really suit me.
"There is surely nothing other than the single purpose of the moment. A man's whole life is a succession of moment after moment. If one fully understands the present moment, there is nothing left to do, and nothing else to pursue."

Down here we prefer to just chew the beans....no need for the water.
