More than anything, I want to know what gives Dr. Pepper its flavor. Will I ever know?

there are only 3 drinks that i can compare it to.
1. cold coffee
2. cerry coke
3. sasparellabut it beats the hell out of me what it is actually supposed to taste like.

i've had a chance to tour the dr. pepper factory in texas. apparently it's a secret mixture of roots and spices that give it it's distinct flavor. seeing the birthplace of dr. pepper was one of the highlights of my life.

if the don't have dp in your area, just get an ice cold can of coke and throw some salted peanuts in it... it hits the spot on a hot day.

oh and yeah, it's prunes for dr.pepper. that's what the main ingredient used to be before they went all chemical with it.

sasparella, but I do think it is similar to Birch Beer or Bitters in a way.
