right - 2 teams of 18, plus 4 subs on the bench each. very simple. Oval ball, oval pitch, always grass, indoors sometimes (Telstra Dome), fuking great game played by real men and officiated by weird looking guys in coats or fluro outfits.

freelancing here and there... not got much work on right now. LA is lots of fun, it took a year for it to grow on me, first impressions weren't good. It takes time to find all the cool places to hang out. Lots of creative opportunities here too.

I like AFL, but don't even try to telling me it requires more skill than soccer. You have got to be kidding me. If you saw the shit pros can do with a soccer ball, you would be pissing on your football in a second.
I always used to say... a soccer player can play footy, but a footy player can't play soccer for shit. Anyway, thats my opinion. Maybe i just have a natural talent for kicking a footy ;)

they should get rid of those tribunals aswell. AFL is all about a good auld punch up. Players are too afraid of suspensions and fines now to through a good slap when its needed

You soccer pansies don't know what your talking about.
Anyone can kick a round ball, it's regular in shape. Try playing with an oval ball, kicking it straight to a running target, then add the fact that you can dispose of the ball by hand or by foot, and then add the physicality of the game
And all you soccer lads would be at sea, rolling around on the ground clutching at your shins after you've taken a dive the the 'penalty' area.
