question.
say someone wrote a book on microsoft word. is there a program that could instantly convert all of the word file into a pdf? or do u have to keep copying and pasting from the word document to something like Indesign?

The Full version of Adobe Acrobat does this, Standard or Pro
Mac OSX has it built in.
There are some Freeware apps out there for creating PDF's

be carefull with the formatting though...
Word makes line / page breaks according to whichever printer is defined as standard when the document is created....
so the only way to get the same formatting for definite is to print a PS file to disk and then distill it with Acrobat Distiller....
