there's plenty of tools to convert MP3 to MIDI for Windows...
but does anyone know of such a thing for Mac..?

What are you talking about?
You can convert from different formats in and out of each other, you tend to lose quality when converting.
You probably can do this, as mentioned like a million times here, using Mac tools (sequencers) such as Pro Tools, Logic, etc. You might be even able to do it by converting to .wav and then importing into a soft synth such as the Propellerheads' Reason and then exporting out as MIDI (.mid). There are many ways to do it with a PC.

right, there are many apps for PC, so get someone on a PC to convert things for you. What are you trying to do, produce ringtones? There are those phones that now accept .wav and .mp3 in case you are doing such. ;)

hmm... that program doesn't support converting from mp3 to any midi or ringtone formats..!

It probably does, it just says that. What they f*cking do, they know you want to do this, so hey limit it to the purchased version. bastards! ;) There are many others there for Mac. I'm going to convert my entire collection of loops into MIDI files for free downloads soon enough. Hopefully, through a Batch convertor. ;)
