silly rabbit, 2a doesn't just do 3d stuff, they do cool stuff like this too... http://www.goapply.com

It's not really "flash-based 3D" if you're just using flash as a media player for video/animation files.
- era4040
A lot of the 3D we do is based on client feedback, changes, critiques, etc., which forces us to make it a profit piece, rather than a portfolio piece.
It sincerely seems that their clients are always happy. So, I really can't knock them.

you kids are classic

What kind of 3d are we talking about? 3D graphics or actual physical built models?
That's what Team One looks like. Looks like a built model. Certainly fun to build, did quite a few while studying architecture in college. Lots of work.

I, for one, really like the new site. Normally I don't care for 3D in Flash (Billy Bussy, I'm looking at you).
For what it's worth I've never liked the 2A site itself...
I'd type more, but my left hand is busy.I'm eating chips.

i watched the flash intro and kinda liked it.. although the type was kinda mehh
the rest of the site i didnt give any time to though

Gotta wait to see the site when I'm at home.
I'm on a 386 here.

I see an awesomely pointless debate here

I liked their site. A bit too overdone, but wtf. I bet their clients eat that shit up. And in the end that is all that matters (at least in commercial design).
What sells?
they do.

I once freelanced at a company that Eric Jordan just quit. The client wanted me to copy 2A and actually paid decent money for it. I had just been laid off from a decent agency job and had a family to support so I thought what the hell. I took the project, made some unbelieveably cheesy wor, received $10,000 and paid the bills for 2 months. The software company decided not to use the design (obviously cheesy crap) and the world never saw the 2A look-alike. Thank you 2A. Almost homeless.

I thought this may happen.
It looks like the consol panel off the starship enterprise. I imagine geeks with 'communicators' did that.
A great quote comes to mind
'Just because you can doesn't mean you should'
It may be technically good, but wee designed it is not
- fishzipper0
why not try it yourself? i'll give you... $10,000!

I though it was good stuff... but I never really buy in to the big intro starts they bore me... so even it was amazing I wouldn't be interest...
It is possibly a bit too point, click, watch another transition... etc. etc... But guess that is cool for some people.

Its a very nice site
I think alot of people like to shoot down anything 2advance do because they here about 2davance far too much, too many threads and hype.there work is v . good but there are loads of companies out there now that are creating the same standard if not better.
K : )

geee... calm down, kids.
the KDlab comment was just cuz when i posted that i had just watched it AGAIN, to test an excellent quicktime-based player
so then i went back to the 'web-3d' of teamone/2a and it was a wee bit disappointing..
silly me to not realize one got to be a little more compressed and simplified then the other..
anyway, 2a is doing their thang and i respect that, YO!
peace
out.
(bah, i suck at ebonics..)

you know it's getting bad when a 2A thread only gets 40 hits
