The Unband opening up for Headstones in 2000, I think. They were OK in a that's-funny-I-guess sort of way for about 20 minutes, but then it seemed like they would never stop playing... It was painful.
Which reminds me that I saw the Smashing Pumpkins do their final Canadian show a few years back. Now, as a band, they're pretty good, generally. Live, in a football stadium no less, it was a smorgasborg of high pitched vocals and guitars. It was MORE enjoyable with ears covered...

ozhanlion: indeed.
sputnik: you're kidding rigt?
[1992, Lisboa's bullfighting arena. SY gave one the best concerts ever. I must be really progressive, avant-garde].Let's see.... oh, my 2nd Tindersticks concert, the guys were so fucking drunk they couldn't sing. But it was a kick ass night out.
And Tricky. His first concert? Sublime. His third? So bad, I couldn't believe my ears [& eyes].

Nowadays I can't believe I went to see them but probably one of the worst concerts I've ever seen was Cradle of Filth back in 96. The concert room was so full I almost couldn't move or breathe. It's bad enough I paid to see a bunch of guys painted like corpses and screaming all the time...

I think Eddie Money with Grandma is the winner.
Mine my first concert ever. A friend had an extra ticket he sold me for $5. It was Styx during the Grand Illustion tour.
I only went because I wanted to see a show. I paid dearly.

My very first concert was the worst. I was ten, dragged to it by the hands of my sisters.
Ahem...
Paula Abdul featuring Color Me Badd!

PS. I win.

err not sure about that... I saw a milli vanilli concert....
nuff saidI've also seen the Smashing Pumkins live a couple times and both times it was pretty bad. One show was going alright until Billy Corrigan started talking to the crowd.
The show was in Canada and he started saying stuff like "ahh Canada its great to be here, too bad soon you'll just be a part of the US as we take you over" - jeesh way to alianate a crowd...boos commenced

one of the worst..
The Prodigy in Belgium, about 2 years ago i think.
they came on the stage 20 mins. late and left 15 mins. earlier. Also the set seemed overly routined and the level of 'look-we-are-the-prodigy-so-we-c... was way too high..
the performance sucked, the quality of the music sucked..
i am glad i saw them once many years before... back in the days when they really made a worthy effort to make a crowd move.

guns&roses aka 'most dangerous ban in the world'.
axl threaten those who brought soccer torches that he would leave the stage.
and then I felt on his ass.
and his girlie piano did not work.
I think he cried also.
I wish I had a bazooka.

doh! you missed a glorious chance to end the suffering of being axl rose.. it must be really sad to be him. he's like always in trouble at concerts, and i think mostly with himself.

best concert:
(well not really a concert..)
Kruder&Dorfmeister in a very very big tent filled with smoke in Amsterdam.
these guys surely know how to please an audience.. together with Sugar B. and visuals by Fritx Fitzke ofcourse.. oh, and Stereotyp was there as well.
- haga0
Donald D (Old Ice-T hangaround), drunk like never before performed with his back to the audience for the whole set.
And Mr.Slick himself Alexander O'neal druged out of his mind fell asleep while standing up about 15 minutes in to the concert. That was a sad sad sight.

best ever: soul asylum at Saltair in 96(?) they got on stage and played SOLID for an hour - one song ends and immediately they went into the next song. So good, they even covered 'feel like makin love' and it was rockin, short but sweet.

I once went to this U2 concert and I couldn't enjoy myself one bit.
something about something...I don't know?

one of the worst lately was "Soul Brains" aka bad brains . dude was so high he just sat in a chair and mumbled. lamest shit ever.
also, modest mouse. but i will blame that on the shitty sound at the venue and them being completely shitfaced.

Naked City Reunion 2003
