Has anyone tried this? And if so, how much quicker is it than 56k. I'm in the dilemma of getting a broadband package and noticed this while browsing the options.

I wouldn't really like to recommend these twats because they fucked me over when I changed the account holder name on the phonline account.. but this looks a pretty sweet deal:

Onspeed may work, but why not do it on top of broadband? Bulldog seem to have the best deals in UK. I'm on my third account with them....Unfortunately the BT line quality isnt good enough at my new flat, so they cant do Bulldog 4mbit, so I'm stuck with shitty 512k....

i love how people complain about 512k
I've been on dial up for 2 months because wanadoo are a bunch of incompetant fools.
They got it wrong 3 times in transferring my account over from one address to another...
The first time they said I had'nt paid the 25 pounds... when they hadn't even asked for it... I said I paid by direct debit... so they then blamed the bank.
The second time they got my post code wrong they had put in 1G18 *** instead of IG8 *** I said to them how many people do you know in the UK who have a post code that begins with a number!!!!
The third time, I was on the phone for an hour setting it up again... to which they said it would be another 10 days... rather than wait the 10 days I rang again 4 days later... and they told me I had no account... due to the changeoever not happening in 3 days...
The only good thing that came out of it is that they let me just leave... I threatened to just cancel the direct debit... and they said they would blacklist me so no other suppliers would have me!
Anyway... I got off the phone to them, dialed up BT online... set up the account.. and 5 days later I've got broadband... it even went in before the installation date they gave.
